Before the melt down in the costume:( gosh she looks cute though
meltdown.

first couple of minutes in costume...not sure about this at ALL
my little pumpkin:)
Getting ready for the big game today. LOVES her swing and thank god for it!
TOUCHDOWN! not really, the game hasn't started yet...but she's hopeful:)

WHAT a day! We have Cougar football playing Notre Dame AND Halloween all in one day! So it necessitated 2 outfits:) Lucky for Parker we had just thing for her to wear for both occasions!

Hope you are all enjoying this special day!

BOO!!!!!!!!!

Everyone enjoy this special day! It only comes once a year. Our little pumpkin will be having a little photo shoot shortly so I will post those pics soon. I LOVE Halloween in our neighborhood. Last year we were out of candy by 8 and must have had close to 200 kids come by. We basically just left the door open and kids lined the streets. Made me want to be a kid again:) We had a little surprise of our own Thursday night and today. Kevin's dad and stepmom made a trip over for the weekend and then his brother Brian and wif Bobbi Jo showed up yesterday. I am glad they are here so they can see the madness that ensues in our neighborhood.

Be safe and have a happy time dressing up and enjoy those yummy treats for your tummy:)

My little 2 month old munchkin, or should I say bear?

2 months...as my Dad would say and Zoolander, "she is ridiculously good looking"

ok mom...how long do I have to keep this on

uhm...not sure about this
ok, this is kind of fun
I am over it
phew, let me out:)

Things around here are finally getting back to normal and I have some time to post about Parker's 2 month check-up. Everything went well and she is a healthy and happy baby which could not make us any more proud. I cannot stop taking pictures of her. My mom sent her some adorable outfits recently and I had to have a little photo shoot. Let's just say we only made it to one outfit before she had enough. My mom bought her this ADORABLE little Columbia bear snow suit and had bows from our wedding ribbon (brown and pink polks dots) sewn on it. As you can see from the pictures, she has some growing into it to do, BUT it is so darn cute!!! I am also posting her 2 month photos. I hope to stay on this and do monthly photos of her every month. I have a neat little craft project to make after she turns a year with all her photos:)

Here are her 2 month stats:
9 lbs 10 oz
21 7/8 inches long

She is only in the 25 percentile for her weight and the doctor could see the worry on my face. He told me not to, and that babies change so much all the time and that next visit she could be in the 75 percentile. He said she is a very healthy and happy baby and to keep doing what we are doing. I still think she could eat a little more. She is such a little trickster when it comes to eating. I swear, she could snack all day! Hmmmm....who does that remind you of? :) I don't know how I would be doing this if I was breast feeding from the breast. We would be attached all day. So for now I continue to pump...pump...pump my life away and she continues to get cuter and cuter everyday.

I am going to try and take pics of her in her costume today, I can't wait to take her trick or treating in the future and make costumes and have Halloween parties for her!

What are you you going to be for Halloween??

Auntie Alison visits!

At our good friends Mike and Jamie's house for dinner with their cute son Ben!
Belly time with Auntie Alison

Even with H1N1 diagnosed in our household, that did not stop my sister from AZ coming to visit her niece for the first time. Unfortunately, she did not leave empty handed. After a quick visit, she sadly retuned home on Sunday only to miss her last 2 days of work due to being sick. I am sorry Alison we sent you packing with more than just your luggage, but boy did little Parker enjoy you while you were here.

Our visits are always too short and leave me so sad that we do not live closer to each other. Love you sis and hope we see you soon. Here are a few pics from when we went Leavenworth while she was here, her favorite place to go when she visits!

HALLOWEEN: Johnson style

I.

LOVE.

HALLOWEEN.

Parker update: the soundless scream

Sweet Parker Lilly had her first round of immunization shots today and boy was she brave. I am going to make this quick as she needs lots of momma cuddling at the moment. The first she winced only a bit and I thought...wow, this is going to go great. Then the second she really thought now this is enough. The last shot, broke my heart. This is where the soundless scream came from. She opened her mouth as to scream and was so mad that no sound came out. It was so sad and bizarre. Then of course the tears came and unconsolable crying for a bit. The nurse was so nice. I kept thinking to myself how much I would hate to have her job, making babies cry all day with her shots.

We are home now and both of us are worn out from the morning. I am happy to say after 6 1/2 days of the flu I am better. My sister flew up from AZ this weekend to visit and sadly left sick. That was one nasty flu monster I had. I call it monster as bug just seems to small.

Hope you are all doing well. Off to cuddle my little patient:)

Parker is 2 months today and Mom is sick as a dog:(

How time flies when you are enjoying a newborn. Unfortunately I have come down with a serious case of the flu and will have to post her 2 month picks later. Right now Kevin is playing Mr. Mom home from work, taking care of Parker so I don't get her sick. Let me tell you, it SUCKS not being able to hold your baby because of this. Kevin's mom came to help out and caught the bug within 24 hours and had to leave. My sister flies in tomorrow as she hasn't met Parker yet and really hope she doesn't get sick too. SO for now, I am off back to bed to drink my thera-flu and pray for this nasty bug to leave me alone.

1 Month photos!

This post is long overdue as I will be posting her "official" 2 month old photos next week. But I believe it is never too late. SO here are Parker's 1 month old official photos and some other fun one's. We have been so busy with guests and events that I feel like I have become a bad blogger! I have to remind myself that I have a newborn and can't do everything. However, it sure is fun trying:) Our household is never quiet or boring that's for sure!

**Parker milestones**
rolling over...not joking
SMILING
Mom and Dad recognition!
Cooing...and if that is not the sweetest sound in this world I don't know what else could be
SLEEP SCHEDULE!!!!

She has fallen into a routine this past week. One that is long enough to call just. She now has 2 naps a day (sometimes short one's), we feed her, bathe her, read to her and usually she is asleep between 7 and 8. She then sleeps until 1 or 2am. Wakes up to feed, then back to sleep until 5am and wakes up to feed then sleeps again until usually 7 or 8am. I am still pumping and feeding her breast milk. I have SOOO much milk stored up that I really think we can do a year once I decide to stop pumping. We shall see.

All I know, is that I have the BEST husband, family and friends around me a girl could ask for. And now, the best daughter. I was singing to her the other morning while folding laundry and she was just cooing and smiling watching me. I became so emotional that I started to cry mid-song because I was so IN AWE of her.

I can't explain it any better or say it enough... life feels so complete at the moment, and I am so in love.

ta ta for now friends;)

New things.....

Everyday it's like she is discovering new things around her. It is amazing to watch her change on a daily basis. Today I had my 6 week post visit after giving birth. Kevin was home so I went to the docs by myself and then stopped by the mall on my way home. I haven't done anything by myself in awhile. Honestly, it felt weird to not have my little girl tagging along with me. However, when I got home I found my 2 favorite people in this world, snug as a bug cuddling together. So precious and so sweet. When she woke up she had not seen me for awhile. Kevin was holding her and I came over and started saying her name. Parker turned her head...looked at me...and smiled. I. JUST. MELTED. She knew it was me! What a feeling! Here are a couple new pics. The one of her all bundled was before her and I and the dogs went for a walk. She looked so cute bundled up I had to take a pic:)

BTW..I also wanted to remind you all that Halloween is only 28 days away! Are any of you as excited as me? I wait ALL year for this month. I will have some fun posts of decorations, costumes and pumpkins soon. We decorated today!!!

xxoo
