She's moving

Sooooooo......I can feel our little Parker Lilly moving now, a lot. Especially at night and just right now, which prompted me to write this quick blog. It feels like a wave, it's hard to explain.

"I just wanted to scream from the top of a mountain, but I didn't have a mountain, I had this microphone...," Ron Burgundy.

So. Amazing.

This may be the most surreal moment of my life.

I already love her more than anything I know, and I haven't even met her.

Thank you Parker, for already making me smile so much more everyday.

Love your momma.

No I am not kidding. We just had a multi-million dollar events center built in Wenatchee to house our hockey team and for concerts. They have exceeded my expectations by getting Foreigner to come!!!! I mean a month ago we had Leanne Rimes....sorry NOT a fan. But now this. We are moving up!

Anyone and everyone is welcome to come over for the concert. Just make sure to bring your acid wash jeans and cut-off t-shirts!

"Whoa...We're half Way there..." la la la

Rockin baby onsie set
Mix tape Bib

I really might have to get this as I am a huge Beatles fan

This was funny
Never would I ever get this, well except for Halloween, my favorite holiday
Rasta baby

So today I hit 20 weeks and couldn't help singing Jon Bon Jovi's Classic "Livin' On A Prayer" all day. "Whoa...we're half way there...WHOAA livin' on a prayer, take my hand and we'll make it out square." AWESOME.
This song has made me think about how great this experience has been so far and how really, everything is going to be fine. All my worries of being a good mom, getting the crib on time, having the right wainscoting in her room, getting the right books and toys so she is a child prodigy.......It's all ok, we're going to be fine.
My "bump" is a pronounced bump now. It doesn't look so much like I am an avid beer drinker anymore. Kevin was sitting next to me on the couch talking out loud to Parker last night (it was so cute), and he looked at me while rubbing my belly and said, "You are definitely showing now, and it's so beautiful." In my emotional state, I actually cried. I know, I know....I am bad.

I really feel like I am growing by the minute and that I will be the size of a small elephant by the time September comes! Kevin says it's all in my head. Let's just say, my nights are getting more and more uncomfortable and I am scared to death of sleeping on my back now from all the things I have been told. I only have 20 more weeks to go though....with the most challenging part ahead of us. Yet again...I sing my mantra out loud...."we're half way there!"
On a completely random note, since I have been rockin' out in my head all day, I decided to look up baby "rocker" clothes. Here are some of my funny finds. Some made me smile and others were just plain hilarious. One particular favorite was the "gothling" onesie. I mean really? Anyways, enjoy. I found all these crazy punk/rocker baby clothes here.

They really have thought of everything when it comes to baby items:)

Random...thoughts...that stand the test of time

True Leaders are hardly known to their followers.
Next after them are the people
they know and admire;
after them, those they fear;
after them, those they despise.

To give no trust is to get no trust.

When the work's done right,
with no fuss or boasting,
ordinary people say,
Oh we did it.

Best.Week.EVER.

SOOOOOO, I got to have Monday and Tuesday off after a wonderful weekend in Portland. These two days I spent around the house, nesting and planting. I planted 11 FLOWER POTS! I have to say, I love going to the nursery and picking out arrangements. There is such an art to the flowers you pick and the colors you pick.

Which brings me to Wednesday, my first day at my new job. I.LOVE.MY.NEW.JOB. I have the most amazing boss ever and get to work with great Cougs all around the state.

Which brings me to tonight. We have our 3 couple friends over for dinner tonight and to watch the new show Publish PostHarper's Island. Kev and I love a good "who done it" type show. I made my famous Bolognese sauce for tonight too!

Now for tomorrow..I haven't been able to sleep all week because of tomorrow.  TOMORROW we find out if our baby is a boy or a girl.  We are so excited!!!!! This feeling/emotions/changes I am going through is like nothing I have ever felt.  To have something so special that we created growing inside you, words....cannot....describe the joy and humbling emotions.

After we find out, we are having a party tomorrow night with some more good friends.  We are calling it the "baby sex party."  It was a joke at first and now it has stuck with great humility.

Anyways, I just had to share how great this week has been, and it is about to end on a great note.  I will be posting the news tomorrow. Can't wait friends!!!!

Ohhh...Portland

We are back in Portland for the weekend.  Kevin has a dental conference to attend fri and sat.  As soon as we pulled in last night we drove straight to our favorite desert place, Pix Patisserie  and then through our old "hood."  Made me REALLY miss this town and all the quirky, fun neighborhoods and restaurants here.  It's great too be back Portland.  Who knows, maybe we will come back here again, for good:)

I am off to do some well-needed shopping.  Oh, how I miss the shopping!!
