Baby Bump at 4 months!

Well, we finally did a "photo shoot" of the bump!  I hate having my picture taken.  (NOT a photogenic person)  But Kevin did a great job.  We had fun with the camera and here are a couple of our favorites from tonight.

Cave B Dinner in Quincy WA

My friend Kris just posted her visit to this wonderful secret in our backyard.  Cave B in Quincy is just 45 minutes outside our house and is host to wonderful wine, food, spas, and lodging.  It is nestled on the cliffs overlooking the Columbia River and neighbor to the Gorge Amphitheatre.  2 years ago Kevin and I spent our anniversary weekend here and just 2 weekends ago we went there for dinner with my in-laws.  Great food and great views.  You literally can book a room during a Gorge concert and listen to the whole concert on your patio.  Cave B even has their own entrance into the concerts.  So how hard is it to get a room during peak concert season...HARD.  We tried for Dave last year and you have to call Jan 1st of that year to get rooms.  SO...I vote for one year a bunch of us call Jan 1st for one of our favorite concerts and spend the weekend at Cave B.

Anyone in??

Guest room pics

Here are a couple of pics from this weekends projects.  I wish the pictures were better.  OH well. It is so fun to go downstairs and look at the hard work we put into these rooms.  The last spare room needs some bookshelves.  So out of the five bedrooms, all we have left to really complete is the office and BABY room!

SPRING cleaning & making room for Baby Johnson

So I think I have finally caught the "nesting bug" everyone has been telling me about.  They say you get the "bug" early on in your pregnancy.  Well this bug is ferocious and had me in PROJECT mode this weekend.  Kevin was wondering what got into me.

No joke, in my head I completely redid and reorganized our 4 other bedrooms from baby room to guest spare rooms.  This included the shifting of multiple pieces of furniture from one floor to the other, painting, buying new bedding(s) and decorative pieces.

So when I laid out this exhaustive plan, Kevin's eye's just about popped out if his head because I wanted to do it all in one weekend.

The result (I will post pics of the spare rooms) three spare rooms DONE.  They look so wonderful!!!  And the baby room is empty and ready for his/her little furniture to arrive.  We have the crib and changing table on the way in Antique White!  I picked this crib because of the functionality.  It is a convertible bed that turns from a crib, to toddler bed, to a full size headboard for a normal bed.  It wasn't my favorite design, but I loved how much use we could get out of it.  It is still cute and I love it in white. Next is the dresser and eco glider/ottman.  I am in love with this chair...

We also selected the colors for the baby room and wainscoting design. Those are a secret for now.  GETTING SO excited for April 10th to find out what we are having!

Lastly, I promise to post some "bump" pics.  I have been so BAD about taking pics of me through the pregnancy.  I will be better.

Happy Spring to you all!

DC and Annapolis trip

I am still trying to catch up with pictures and postings.  Here are some great pictures of going home to see my folks for the holidays.  My sister Alison was home too.  It is always so fun going out there to visit.  I love the east coast!  My parents have done some amazing renovations to the house and it looks so impressive.  One of my favorite things to do, besides strolling the streets of Annapolis, is visiting DC.   I never tire of the amazing buildings, culture, and buzzing feeling you get, that big decisions are being made all around you at that moment:) so cool.

I did get a pic of the White House...well as close as they will let you get to it.  It was really overcast and super warm when we were there.  Made for some neat cloudy pictures.

Enjoy, and in another life I would be living in Annapolis Maryland in a beautiful old colonial home on a cobblestone street.

Coffey and Steve Maui pics

We had such a wonderful time in Maui watching our good friends Erin and Steve tie the big knot.  It was also so amazing to be in a tropical place with all your good friends.  It was a great vacation and celebration all in one.  Thank you Erin and Steve for letting us witness such an amazing moment in your lives!  Here are a couple of my favorite pics from our trip.
